THE FRIDAY FIVE

Hello, hi! Somehow we made it through another long work week. I am truly counting down the days until my first days off in over four months (next weekend!!!) Here are five things I've been feeling, experiencing, loving, hating, eating, smelling, etc. throughout this week.

LOVING: our fantastic gym members. An older man named Bill brought us two huge containers of fruit on Wednesday. Another older guy dropped off $20 for "Easter refreshments" yesterday. And today, this hilarious couple named Freddy and Tammy brought us this absolutely ridiculous, festive, and unreal Easter basket, stuffed with chocolate, bunny ears, wind-up toys, and I swear to you, over 50 nips. Of alcohol. I don't drink much anymore, but bless Tammy and Freddy.

CLICKING: these cool links. How Hannah Gale edits her Instagram pics (life changing). Why you should probably preserve your body when you die (creepy but extremely thought provoking). How to air dry your hair into mermaid waves (also life changing).

TRYING: bullet journaling. The owner of the dance studio I work at is into this, and as a person who drools over all things planning, organization, stickers, washi tape, to-do lists (the list - no pun intended there - goes on), I knew that I NEEDED to try this. I got a grid style moleskin from Staples last week and went to town on it the past few days. It's not as involved as using my Erin Condren Life Planner, so I'll feel like it's something I'll actually keep up with. And tbh, the pressure to buy all these stickers for my weekly spreads was burning a big ass hole in my wallet. Bullet journaling pretty much only requires neat handwriting and fancy pens. Both of which I have plentyyyy of.

WATCHING: Girls on HBO. How did it take me so long to get into this? I was skeptical but now I totally get it. It's like the average girl who isn't a felon's version of Orange Is The New Black.

PLANNING: this weekend's day trip to Rhode Island. Where we're going to have Easter dinner with family. How I can convince Lucas that we need to go to the Nike outlet store because a gym member told me she got an awesome zip-up there for only $30(!!!) Next weekend's dance performance and extended stay at the Bristol Harbor Inn! And hoping for nice weather so we can do the Cliff walk in Newport.

Week of workouts:
Monday - legs and abs day with personal trainer
Tuesday - taught two hip hop dance classes
Wednesday - 1.5 mile walk outside, Spin class at night
Thursday - taught 2 Spin classes back to back!
Friday - rest day

I have been hitting the cardio way harder then ever before with these Spin classes and loving being able to walk/jog outside. I was actually always way more into strength training than cardio. It's important to have a healthy balance, so next week I'll be sure to try and hit those weights at least two days of the week!

Happy Friday and I hope you have a ballin' Easter weekend !
